Some guy calls from this 213-221-1002 number and leaves a message asking me to call him back at 416-638-0104. I check out the number and find out that it is a Canada area code. Watch out for these losers.

It is a tracking program. a program that can listen in on your calls.
It does this by intercepting calls initiating, and sometimes recieved, on your hard-line with this generic number.
Be careful and use precaution, while conversing on your hard-line phone.

Got a call from this guy...NIgerian scammer. He's mad that I won't wire transfer him money after he overpaid with a cashier's check. Textbook craigslist scam.

That caller ID (213-221-1002) matches the time of a collect call my bro-in-law made to us from a pay phone (626-356-9328) in Pasadena. That 3 minute call cost us $27.63. Silly us... we accepted it! Duhhh.
