KRIS, THEY HAVE DONE THE SAME THING TO ME. SAID I HAVE BEEN A VICTIM AND HAVE MONEY FOR ME. THEY SAY STAR COMMUNICATIONS HAS BEEN TAKING MONEY FROM ME. THEY ALSO ARE FROM NEW YORK. THE NUMBER LINKS BACK TO BOSTON. THEY CALL 3X A DAY AND GET ANGRY WHEN THEY DONT GET THE INFO. CHANGED ALL MY ACCTS TO BE SAFE.

GETTTING THE SAME CALL, IN FACT THEY CALL 3X A DAY. FOR 5 DAYS! INDIAN ACCENT, ANGRY TOO

These people called claiming that they had funds for my mother that they recieved from recent fraud activity . They wanted bank account information to verify the account, then claimed that is was safe to do so and argued over the phone that they were with Teleguard , and were returning victims their funds.They claimed to be outside of New york. They gave me a 1-866-442-3629.When I called back,this directly linked us with the man who had called earlier , and he didn't even say the business name , no switch board or anything , he immeadiately called me by my name " hello Kris" and began his speech again.It's creepy and I feel violated.Just how much do these idiots know and how long are they going to be calling me? How long till somebody actually catches these idiots? They were fishing madly for my information, which I didn't give, but still, they have my phone number and knew my mother in law's information.

I received call from what sounded like a foreign accented male asking for a household member. This person asked for a member of the household and I told him this person was not presently at home. I then asked "may I say who is calling?" The caller answered "Its none of your business". I then hung up.

This number called and since I didn't recognize it I didn't answer. Left no message and I got a weird recording about not being able to dial an international number when I tried calling back.

I recd calls from this number yesterday 1/3/08 , three times in 2 hrs time frame. I couldn't answer , no one left message, when I tried calling back it's not reachable. what is this and why !!

I got called from these guys in Canada on New Years Day. Tried offering me Internet and TV service from Bell Canada. One problem...I alreday have Internet and TV service from Bell Canada. I grilled for details on name and location of call center as it clearly wasn't Bell Canada (which is a reputable telecommunicatiosn provider in Canada). Name I was provided was Jon Cooper (give me a break)

This guy has called me twice today. He asks for someone else and attempts to interrogate me about who I am and who owns my cell phone #. He says his name is Edge Nelson and the company he represents id EPLUP. I can'e find that company online. Apparently, there is some validity to the company because when I told him about violating the Do Not Call Registry and threatened to report him, he begged to not do so.

yes i keep getting a call from 617-224-0808 saying that they are a fraud company saying that my Identity has been stoeld and that they want my account number to sent me back my money that they owe me thay said it is 650.00 and they will not take and sent it to me they want me checking account number and i won't give it to them so they just keep calling me

Phone Phishing! Do not give them any personal information!!! They will not stop calling your number whether you are nice, or, rude. Since I no longer even answer their calls, they call more often!

5 calls a day. No one ever answers and you cannot return the call. How do you report them?

Second call from 1-617-224-0808 on December 15th 2:12 PM caller ID UNKNOWN I did not answer the phone after recognizing the number and the call stopped after the answering machine picked up and of course this lame person did not leave a message. I called my phone service provider the first time this happened and they blocked the number, but somehow this person got around their blocking software so they are going to investigate this caller for phishing/scams and harrassment. According to thedirectory.org this number is in Boston Mass and is a CLEC number which is a competitive local exchange carrier.

***Beware*** This call comes in every night asking for my husband. When I said I was his wife and can I help him, he said, "no thanks", and hung up. Today, when he called, I said that I was my husband's name, and he proceeded to tell me he was calling from dish network. The scary thing here is that he knew how much our bill is each month, and knew how long we had been a customer and told me he could give us a real deal if we cancel our service and he would set us up as a new account, saving us $45.00 a month. Dish would never ask us to do this. I asked him why he was asking for my husband since the bill comes in my name. Then he asked me how many tv's I had, and I told him he should know. I asked him what country he was calling from (strong Indian accent), and he said "California". Failed the test right there. I called Dish Network and reported this phone number.

We are a collision center in Flintstone, Ga. We received a call and they asked to speak with the business owner, once I said he was unavailable, may i please take a message" The man said "ugh, can i speak with a business partner" I said he is unavailable, may i take a message and he hung up on me. This is not the first time that they have called, they also called the other day and said they made business pens and needed a credit card to order at least 500 pens. So I'm not sure what is going on, but it upset me with how rude they were and when I called the number back it said it was unavailable. Hope noone falls for their scam!

Got call from this number- 617 224 0808- 617 is the NE. area. When asked who they were, woman said e-card. I had just sent and e-card this week so I am assuming that is where they got my info. I said I'm not interested and hung up. Tell them your calls are automatically recorded and traced, sometimes they believe that.

I've been getting these called for a few days now. first my husband answered and he was told that it was teleguard from fraudrecovery.com and that they were calling to let him know that money had been taken out of his bank account two to three years ago and that they were going to put it back for him. They said it was $500 and wanted his bannk account number so they could put it back. The guy said his name was Derrick Armstrong but was clearly Indian with a very thick accent. My husband asked him a series of questions and the guy finally hung up on him when he realized he wasn't getting anywhere. Then they called again today and asked for my sister in law by name. Same story as before, but she yelled at them and they hung up. Again tonight they called and I answered and went through their whole shpeel like I was oblivious to this scam. I said Yeah I lost $750 two years ago and they said yes, yes that's right. I gave them a fake bank account number and address and they said they would recover my $750 but after a year of fraud protection I would be charged $395.00 for each year thereafter. I talked to three people (all indian) "Derrick", "Donald Barlow", and finally "Anne Smith" Anne gave me a 866 number to call for customer service (of course after I gave her all my "information"). The number lead to a hospital emergency line. When I called her out on it she gave me another number that lead to a busy signal. I am planning on calling the bank that this account was with and is now closed and tell them there is someone who is going to try to take money out and to report it immediately. Hopefully they can track them down better than I can.

Now they are in the recovery of lost funds. I asked them where they got their information from and they said *(pages turning)* It is all over for the past two years. Thanfered to superviser mam are you ready to recover your lost funds? This was going nowhere. Where are you from. "lost funds in New York and I am here to help you" "mam" that was enough. As much fun as it can be playing with the telemarketors I had enough.

Called several times on my cell phone, unable to return call will not leave message. From all the comments listed this must be a bogus call.

I just recieved a call from some guy I believe he is from india claiming that he was from US government tax department. And when I ask him if he knew what my name was he hung up.

This number call every day and hangs up when I answer cannot return call back number says cannot dial as entered. This is annoying

I've been getting calls from this number regularly. The man with an accent identified himself as the Treasury department. They want to verify my address so they can send me federal grant money.

Called twice daily for the last three days. I only answered once, a man with a foreign accent wanted my address to send me my insurance cards. When I told him I was on a "do not call" list, he cursed me, I hung-up and the number called again about 2hrs later. Have not received any calls since then. Any idea who this is?

No idea where or who this call is from. Received on my cell phone. Did not answer and they did not leave a message.
