Reverse Phone Number Lookup

I "screen" all calls. This one said "by continuing to listen you are acknowledging that you are Loretta L?????" (couldn't understand the last name). Then like the others identified himself as Al Vincent. He said to call 800-398-8814. Oh yeah. I've had my phone # for 18 years & there has never been a Loretta living here. I don't even know a Loretta. I seem to remember them calling before......

I answered the phone quickly but noone spoke to me. I kept saying "hello" but finally hung up because noone replied. I have no debts in debt collection, so if they were calling to collect on any supposed debt, it would have been a hoax, and I've had my phone # for almost 7 years. It wasn't a call to someone else to my # unless they were calling about some really OLD debt. However, my number IS on two Do-Not-Call lists, both the federal and the state list. So I will report them. Since I do not have any debts in debt collection, I believe they were calling to sell me services.

I have recieved this call several times. They do not leave any message. Instaed they make you call them, but when you do, they will ask info about you. Now this, I just checked my credit report, and found an inquiry from this phone number as Assesst Acceptance. Why are they allowed to view our credit report without our permission?

I have a similar experience to people above. Every few months they and other companies call with an automated voice and ask for someone I never heard of. I think they must make up these names and/or call every possible number. I have call blocking on my phone but they seem to call from different numbers every time.

Got a call while at work, didn't answer, don't answer unknown numbers. How did we ever survive without caller id? Oh yea, almost forgot, it was created as a defense against scum bags. Unfortunately they keep breeding...

Just got a hang up call from this number. I answered but no one responded. I really hope that these people get tripped up!

This number continues to call me. There is no caller id and they never leave a message. Very annoying!

I get the call from "Asset Acceptance". It is a collection agency. They leave pre-recorded messages for someone I dont' even know....

don't know who and what they want. they refuse to leave a message on the answering machine, however they continue to call.
